Earthquake-Prediction - Possible more-causal causes of the current mysterious bee dying,

possible explanations with help of research results concerning animal behaviour for earthquakes

Possible more-causal causes of the current mysterious bee dying (from early summer 2007, new from september 2007 see below)

After Internet investigations the causes of the bee dying are so far unsettled, however several factors in interaction become assumed. A clearly decreased disease susceptibility was already determined opposite mites. The cause portable radio waves was discussed, taken however due to observed bee dying in areas without portable radio masts to the discussion out.

With quotations from the book " Earthquakes and Animals " of Motoji Ikeya, World Scientific 2004 I would like to raise the discussion whether not nevertheless electromagnetic waves, from where they also come will, at least as a cause for clearly intensified disease susceptibility. Perhaps there are also still further source of EM-waves, which could be considered, as e.g. from the military range or of remote sensing satellites beyond the portable radio load. As you can infer from the book sides, bees and insects react generally already 10 days before before earthquakes, and the larger animals only days later.

A direct connection of body size and form is accepted in relation to the resonance resulting from it in relation to the EM-waves and exact measured values for the observed abnormal behavior by bees in relation to EM-waves is pointed out. Therefore I assume the fact that insects, particularly bees perhaps really with long-term disease of the immune system on a changed and intensified load by means of special EM-waves reacts and/or reacted. I ask to think here more about this and to start further considerations and/or research. I am pleased at any time this concerning on answer and remain. Unfortunately it is not possible to show the good graphics here because of Copyright laws

Quotations from the Book "Earthquakes and Animals", Motoji Ikeya, World Scientific 2004 About Beebehaviour for Earthquakes:

Page 33: Chapter 2.3. Unusal Phenomena before the Izmit Earthquake in Turkey:

"Bees aggressively stung humans and buzzed people to an unusual degree" Page 46: Chapter 2.8.3 A speculative mechanism for temporal shift of unusual behaviour from small to large animals: "The Chinise have observed that small animals show unusual behaviour first and large animals later and closer to the main shock; this was observed particulary before the Haicheng Earthquake(...)The animal size effect (...) might be explainded as an EM absorption effect(..)."

Page 100: Chapter 4.4.5 Insects and worms:

(a) Honey bees buzzing "An experiment on electrical field effects on honeybees was carried out in the depths of winter on a moutain during the filming of Amazing Animals. The hogh voltage shpere of a Van de Graaf generator was places close to a beehive with a transparent acrylic cover (...): Honeybees, whos movements are very sluggish in winter, were not agitated by the movement of an intense "Neomax" permanent manget. They were, however, agitated by the electrical field and swarmed in the direction of the high voltage sphere i.e. to the most intense part of the electrical field. EM discharge to the edge of the box made them highly agitated and they came out of the hive and buzzed around loudly. The estimated intensity was 80-100 V/m at about 30 cm from the discharges."

Page 75f: Chapter 3.3.11 Electrical field effects on animals:

"Land animals might also perceive fields of both static and EM waves thoough wet tongues, eyes, and paws with high conductivity acting as antennae, and body hairs acting as electrostatic mechanoreceptors. Only antennae that resonate at the frequency range beeing amitted can efficiently detect those EM waves. Hence emitter and receiver antennas should be similar in size and shape. A window of communication at a particular frequency range may therefore be opened to animals of the same species, the frequency range depending on the size of the animal. (...) Resonance occur at particular frequencies dependig on the size and shape of the object. If the frequency is the microwave frequency of 1 GHz, for example, an animal 10 cm long absorbs it quite intensely, but an animal twice as big is less affected. If animals respond to EM waves associated with preseismic events, then some may be greatley affected by EM waves while others of different sizes and small conductivities may not sense them all. The impedance (electrical resistance) of an object also differs depending on the direction of the electrical field. Hence there is directional dependence in addition to size (frequenciy dependence) in the effects of EM exposure on animals. this seems to be rarely understood by biologist, leading to irreproducibility in their experiments"

- further I would like to make urgently on Internet sides attentive, which mean relatively clearly that as proven main causer bee dying is as good of BAYER refugee Pestizid Gaucho with the disputed active substance Imidacloprid, to which it already legal and political arguments after several scientific investigations gave. I recommend to enter the keyword Imidacloprid and for a second search the keyword Gaucho

New actual articel from September 2007 Mysteries bee dying

- tale and truth Some months ago among other newspapers reported the Swiss magazines Factum of the puzzling or mysteries bee dying in the USA and their expansion also in European widths. Since bees are considerably important for our food production (according to a quotation after Albert Einstein has the mankind to live still four years, if all bees would die), are the dying of this species for us all of great importance. After reading this article I made myself in such a manner up-frightened on the mental way, to find out here for causes, possible consequences and possible counter activities more exactly.

Because I once read and thought and worked intensively with the not completely investigated and clarified phenomenon of the animal behavior before earthquakes, I found in English-language scientific articels over the behavior of bees in relation to electromagnetic waves, which I tried now to bring in connection with bee dying. After some Internet investigation it became fast clear, that the bee dying like that is not a miracel as it was represented, as gladly exaggerated by the media, but there are well known various factors, which contribute all to the bee dying.

Like that e.g. as can be prove the immune system of the bees is weakened and thus the susceptibility of the bees in relation to diseases and parasite infestation clearly increased. One finds intensified susceptibility actual at present with the locally arising bee dying quadruple in relation to a special mite sort. With this background I have it then taken the hypothesis, that also to the immune system could be weakend by electromagnetic waves, and contacted various specialists, who published or wrote over bee dying in the Internet. The body size of the bee presents itself isa relevant cause for a possible resonance of the electromagnetic waves , after Professor Ikeya, who unfortunately died last year, who found correlations here.

The answers and reactions of the specialists were very different - over enthusiasm and promises of my suggestion for research into the practice up to clear scientific refusals. Thus becoming curiously and in the meantime by the editorship of the Factum of magazine motivated, I made further more investigations and after a long summer break also finally leading scientists in writing and in detail verbally to this topic to ask to be able, in order to provide for me a really scientifically and respectable impression, which I would like to represent here now more near to the reader:

The expression " bee dying" is not liked from the specialists, they would prefer to talk from a bee colony dying. Also absolutely important is to make a difference between the wild bees which exists in over thousand different kinds of species world-wide and between bees, those, which are used for producing honey. If we remain talking however due to the more simplicity with the expression and only talking of the breed bees for the beekeeping, then it can be stated that periodically arising bee dying admits actual for over 100 years in regular temporal intervals of 3-7 years.

Which changed during the last time only in the size of the surface, where the bee dying arises, which became larger. And straight this year is to be observed fortunately a decrease of the bee dying in Germany. The bee dying actually can problem-free generally be explained with the globalization, since e.g. also many viruses from Australia and Israel, dangerous for bees, were brought in, which attack the bees considerably.

Diseases maintain themselves with the time in the intensity up swings, so that the periods of 3-7 are to be explained by various added years from the logic due to diseases and parasite infestation. Further the existence of hobby beekeepers is to be registered probably elsewhere back gone and anyway a decrease from bees in Germany. In addition the increasing unfavorable change of the rural area means also ever more unfavorable living conditions for the bees. Surprisingly the straight enormous storm damages are very good e.g. in the Black Forest for the bees, since there new fallow land with nectar rich plants developed.

There is a parallel decrease from various wild bloom plants and wild bees to observe, whereby is unclear, what is the causes and which the consequence is, or whether it concerns a vicious circle. There are many investigations over the most different stress factors, which everything admits as a factor, which influence the life of the breed bees clearly - these are however of so various nature that it cannot predict or be intended at least until today for special regions and bees, which the decisive factor were - or evenly also exactly not - the prominent scientists for this has already tried several times e.g. in connection with the weather conditions to make predictions over increased bee dying, which prove to be fortunately not true then however.

If one regards the high variety of possible stress factors, which I will still partially describe, then it is clear for everyone with little mathematical basic knowledge that that this system is too complex, and no more exact forecasts or clear correlations are impossible. This is from the beginning also in principle the same problem in the earthquake forecast, since too many parameters well known factors also here, which work as a last releasing moment for the earthquake, one can never make an accurate forecast. Regarding this problem of the complexity it is probably more understandable that many beekeepers are believing that it is only the mixture from different insecticides/pesticides, which are considerably responsible for the bee dying.

There are already clear studies and court processes concerning the big german company BAYER of refugees of pesticides, which were partially then again forbidden also, while others are permitted after attempts, which accomplished even the beekeepers themselves. However nowhere the mix from different kind of pesticiden were tested - thus also here the problem of several parameters, which are working at the same time and are not investigated in their final effect and combination.

Also the suspicion, which affects gene corn the bee dying at least, is multiple. Also this could not be confirmed by purposeful beekeeper questioning at different locations. Thus just as strong bee dying in completely clean areas as national parks in relation to strongly rural areas, where the farmers worked on with chemicals, was also often found - exactly the same the same result regarding electromagnetic waves from mobile phone masts. Certainly many factors can be designated as stress factors, to which also the different kinds of bee breeding - as e.g. the beekeeper the bees bred and held (e.g. it has bees from the foreign country also for the breed near taken) - and new pathogens from the foreign country, - just as weather conditions, using of pesticides, general spreading of pathogens, mono cultures, back going of beekeeping, and so on.

But a derivative and a prognosis are so far not possible due to the multiplicity from parameters and data correlation attempts. If one regards then the short life-span of most bees - for the simple bee in the summer there is whole three weeks - everyone fast understands clearly that the research possibilities are on the one hand limited, on the other hand an enrichment of poison materials in so short time as factor appears less important.

The fact that bees could alldy in the future considers leading scientists unrealistic. Over further medium reports I am encountered an alleged breeding programme mites of resistant bees. For this I t contacted two scientist, who did not knew the described connection - where exact university names were written for this research program, and thought it would be unreasonably.

Over this mistake by the media I was not already any longer surprised at this time, since I had to state already before by contacts with scientists again and again that the information spread there did not have absolute truth content. However it was finally said to me that the so-called killer bees in South America are relatively mites resistant but could not be settled in Europe, because they are very aggressive.

Summarized it is to be said that the science are working very much and are making very founded research, however the presentation in the media is partly almost misleading. This is surely to be explained by that, that the topic cannot be discussed in only e.g. 40 seconds appropriately, where the scientist gives his interview before newspapers, radio and if necessary television. Next is then that the already cruelly shortened representation of the scientist was possibly changed for to make more graphic representation by the layman without knowledge of the editors with wanted for the public a more interesting and a more exciting representation.

So the already drastically summarized and shortened scientific material unknowingly contentwise, begins itself to spread in the media with contentwise errors. And if then still editors copis from each other and the effect of the " silence post office game " in addition comes, the error propagation does not only affect to the final result of the information about bee dying, as it had to be found actual now everywhere.

Actually I made straight opposite experiences - in such a way e.g. by nameful geoscientists only 10 years ago published articles concerning the sea level rise, in which they decribed that in the future will not occur an increasing sea level or only in the millimeter range - and appointed themselves here to clear scientific studies. But the reality caught up us here already since a longer time.

I hope to motivate with my personal way over the mysteries bee dying also different readers to analyze medium reports and are making own investigations. At least remains nature a too complex system as humans could imagining itself as he could intervene accurately computed, steered and purposefully here. The risks and side effects remain always incalculable.
